about

Track Name: Crying Shame
You know now someday
people
You know now things gon’
come my way
(2x)
I’m gonna call up my little
brother
And ask him for a couple of
bucks
Crying shame
I’m the rider, and I ride on
every day
Bullet in my chest
I ride on just the same
But I ain’t got nobody
To come riding this way
I ride in summertime
And the sun rides by my side
(2x)
And when I raise my hand
All that I touch turns into ice
I ride when summer’s gone
With my shadow right behind
(2x)
An when I raise my voice
You know the sky begins to
cry
Track Name: Crossroads
I keep the engine rolling
I ain’t ever turning back
The distant lights are calling
My foot gets heavy on the gas
I’m a living man
And temptation has
been drawn
Seems like my way of living’s
Gonna drive me away from
home
Standing at the crossroads
No one else is around
And either way I’m gonna take
I don’t think that I can slow
down
Standing at the crossroads
Away from this lonesome town
Or go back where my baby’s
still around
Hotter than a fever
And colder than ice
My brain is running hot
I oughtta think twice
How can you see things
coming
You run in by mistake?
I’ve got one foot on pedal
And one foot on the break
(hook)
I’ve got one foot on the pedal
I’ve got one foot on the gas
I’ve got one foot on the pedal
I’ve got one foot on the break
And I gotta get away
Track Name: You Turn Your Lovin On
You turn your lovin on
You turn your lovin on
By free hand
You turn your lovin on
And then you turn it o! again
You give your loving strong
You think that I don’t understand
You turn your lovin on
Just to keep me
In your command
One of these days
And it won’t be long
You’re gonna look for me
And I’ll be gone
You know I’m hooked on you
And that is why you sling your
weight around
(2x)
But when you do me wrong
You know a whole lot of blood
is tumblin down
Track Name: Pleased To Meet You (Hope You Get My Name)
I don’t play tricks
And I ain’t going for no walk
nohow
I don’t take orders
And ain’t nobody doging me
around
With all them people it’s all
the same
Pleased to meet you
Hope you get my name
Ten little indians
They took a spin
One or another
ain’t made it back again
Peace to their ashes
But I am still in
And people put me In the
shape I’m in
All the people seem all the
same
Pleased to meet you
hope you get my name
Did he just do that?
Did you just see?
Did he just do that?
And who is he?
Well I am sorry
I’m most afraid it must have
been me
Pleased to meet you
That’s fine with me
No thanks I’m good
Because you see
I don’t care where I go
And I don’t care just who I
meet
All them people are all the
same
Pleased to meet you
Hope you get my name
Track Name: On Fire
You can climb a mountain
You can dive in the sea
You can a wear a ball and chain
Or you can run free
You can change who you are
Or stay just the same
You’re either on fire
Or you ain’t
You can ride on a horse
You can crawl on your knees
You can blame all the others
You can blame it on me
You can come on here strong
And hard as can be
You’re either on fire
or you won’t ever be
Lalala watch those fools
getting burnt
(2x)
You know tables have turned
You can stand here all humble
In humility and grace
You can do it all di!erent
You can do it all the same
You can speak of your e!ort
Or sing about your pain
But when the beast starts to
swing
You better join the dance
Lalala watch those fools
getting burnt
(2x)
You know tables have turned
Track Name: Rainy Day
I now you’re feeling fine
And I know it doesn’t get no
better than this (2x)
I know you’re ready to go
Ready to move
But please
What has shit gotta do with
me
She likes to line ‘em up
She likes to have em two and
two across
(2x)
But when I do the dirty
style
You know she understands
She says you’re the one
Who’s got me in command
I say, lets save it for a rainy day
(2x)
I’ve got a fine looking mama
Waiting in the back
And while you’re doing your
jive
She’ll let me have my ways
Track Name: Faster
You said you saw me
running
I was just slowly strowling by
80 minutes an hour
Is the speed I drive
Because I’m faster than light
I usually walk completely blind
I actually moving backwards
because I’m faster than the
time
Stop sneaking ‘round my
house now girl
I can see you in the dark
The dogs begin to howl
And the old folks start to talk
Stop sneaking round my
house girl
I’m just a stranger in this town
The neighbours keep their
eyes on me
But I’ll be gone before the
dawn
Track Name: Mean Machine
I’ve got a mean machine
She runs her motor oh so
quiet
(2x)
I’d like to see her running hot
But her constitution’s way
too tight
Well, I’m a black train
And I hardly jump the
track
(2x)
But what she says and
does to me
It hits me like a rock
I’ve got my pistol loaded
But I feel it’ll do no scratch
(2x)
Next time I am around
I’ll try her gasoline with
a match
Track Name: Sugar Mama
Tell me mama where in the
world
Did you get your sugar from
(2x)
Must be a whole lot of sugar
back there
Back in the place where you
came from
They’ve been dragging about
your sugar
They’ve been dragging about
it all day long
(2x)
But you only give them so
much sugar
To keep them dragging on
You know I like my co!ee
sweet in the morning
And you know just what
I like to put in my tea at
night
(2x)
But if I don’t get my sugar
three times a day
You know I just can’t seem to
get things right
Track Name: When She Rides
Down in the city
I found my love down there
That girl’s so pretty
I’ll take her anywhere
And when she rides
there’s nothing in the world I’d
care for
When she’s on fire
Just watch her take on anyone
in line
If she doesn’t do just what
I say
I’m gonna lose my worried
mind
But when she rides
There’s nothing in the world
I’d care for
Ride on, ride on
until the break of day
Ride on don’t let my little
world go astray
GIRL ON THE PROWL
When she’s in my reach
She makes an honest soul
Dig a grave
For an honest heart
Of a man on the roll
Ain’t nothing free
But stroking your soul by a girl
on the prowl
Who’s riding two horses to the
markethall
I wonder whether she
Only wants to be free
Secretly
But free entirely
Or within boundaries
It doesn’t matter much to me
Just seems to me
Naturally
There’s no one to blame
For feeling the same
While bearing the strain
(Hook

Track Name: The Devil's Got My Woman
The devil’s got my woman
Her mind is rambling all the time
Everytime she crosses the
floor
I see his shaddow right behind
She’s riding so high
Against that will of mine
The devil’s got that woman
of mine
The devil’s got my woman
The tide’s about to turn
She crawls just like a spider
She screams just like a bird
And I believe she planing
On some evil scheme against
poor me
The devil’s got my woman
After me
The devils got my woman
But I think I draw the line
Because every time she’s
feeling blue
It’ll proove to me her love is true
She’s been riding so high
On her foolish pride
The devil’s got that woman
of mine
Track Name: Ain't Got Nothing On Me
Your baby ways
Your fragil smile
Your descrete demand
Ain’t got nothing on me
Your sober mind
Your shoes in style
Your rural house
Ain’t got nothing on me
Your girlfriends’ round
Your bunch of clowns
Your dutiful frown
Ain’t got nothing on me
No matter how you joke
No matter how talk
It takes but one little move
And you’ve got your back
against the wall
I know you like to see me
shoot a line
Because you know it never miss’
And I think that
You should know by now
I’ve got some evil skills
To get some fun outta this
Your baby ways
Your fragile smile
Your descrete demand ain’t
got nothing on me
No matter how you joke
No matter how talk
It takes but one little move
and you got your back against
the wall (hook)
Track Name: The War Song
Every morning I go down to
the fields
And I forget about myself
Every morning I pray to the
good Lord
To please take somebody
else
But you know someday
The fight will be over
And I say glory to the best
But you know someday
The fight will be over
And I’ll lay me down to rest
Every morning I go down to
the fields
And I feed my blade with flesh
And when I come home in the
evening
I let old Jack my dog
Lick their blood from of
my chest
But you know someday
The fight will be over
And I say glory to the best
But you know someday
The fight will be over
And I’ll lay me down to rest
You know down in the wood
shack
You know the seer told me so
She said the sky was to turn
a-fire red
And the birds in the trees and
the grass on the ground
Say that someone,
Somebody’s bound to go dead.
But you know someday
The fight will be over
And I say glory to the best
But you know someday
The fight will be over
And I’ll lay me down to rest
So farewell my love
And goodbye my friends
I’m goin down to the fields again
And the fight will be over
And I’ll lay me down to rest
If I never see you again
Because you know someday
The fight must be over
And I say glory to the best
But you know someday
The fight must be over
And I’ll lay me down to rest.
